Travel Nurse RN - ER/Trauma in Tuscaloosa, AL

Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Emergency Room (ER) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x12-Hour (10:45 AM - 11:15 PM) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum 2 years of ER experience required License: AL or compact license required Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, PALS; Preferred: CPI, TNCC Must-Have: - Experience working in ER in a minimum Level III Trauma Center - First-time travelers accepted Job Description: - Positions require every other weekend work. - Specialties require proficiency in cardiac monitoring and emergency response, IV therapy/phlebotomy, continuous IV sedation, CVA, ICP monitoring, ortho-trauma, respiratory/thoracic, shock/trauma experience, and triage. - Must pass a cardiac exam during orientation. - Charting experience in EMR required, Meditech Expanse training provided during orientation. - Must be willing to float within expertise and between campuses as required. - Dysrhythmia exam required for ER and ICU units; candidates must be competent in reading rhythms and identifying lethal rhythms. - Must bring own stethoscope to work. - Comply with a strict attendance policy with termination after 2-3 occurrences. - Weekend RTO not accommodated, and specific holiday dates are unavailable for RTO requests. - Candidates with international education must have degree equivalency certified through World Education Services (WES). Additional Requirements: - Each RN must complete virtual modules sent prior to arriving. - Scrub color is navy. - A flu vaccine is required, with medical/religious exemptions only. - Candidates must complete all necessary compliance documents by the deadline prior to start. - Dysrhythmia and orientation exams will require passing for continuation.
