ABOUT NORTHWEST PHYSICICANS GROUP
Northwest Physicians Group formed in 2013 with a focus towards population health management. The group has grown to a network of over 40 providers serving patients at numerous primary, specialty and urgent care locations in Amarillo, Texas. Northwest Physicians Group is affiliated with Northwest Texas Healthcare System, a 495-bed system acute care hospital that serves approximately 650,000 residents of the Texas Panhandle and surrounding region. The system provides acute care services including: cardiac, pediatric, women's, emergency, surgical and behavioral healthcare.
Position: Radiology/Imaging TechnologistOperates ionizing radiation producing equipment, under licensure form the Bureau of Radiation Control through the State of TexasDevelops film using the PACS system, prepares exam rooms and gathers supplies for ordered examsEnsures equipment is in working order and that the equipment is cleanAssists the Radiologist and nurses to ensure the correct exam is performed in a safe environmentUtilizes the principles of Continuous Quality ImprovementIndependence Physician Management (IPM), a subsidiary of UHS, was formed in 2012 as the physician services unit of UHS. IPM develops and manages multi-specialty physician networks and urgent care clinics which align with UHS acute care facilities. It also provides select services for the Behavioral Health division of UHS. Through continuing growth, IPM operates in 11 markets across six states and the District of Columbia. Our leadership team, practitioners, and teams of healthcare professionals are collectively dedicated to improving the health and wellness of people in the communities we serve.

Qualifications
Required Knowledge, Skills, Licensure, Training & Travel Requirements (if applicable):Current ARRT Texas LicenseCurrent BLS certification from the American Heart Association (or obtained during orientation) and maintain certification throughout employmentAbility to read, write and converse in EnglishAbility to communicate with patients, families, staff, physicians, support agencies, vendors and othersAbility to remain calm during stressful situationsDosimetry badge must be worn at all timesAbility to evaluate and interpret information and make independent decisionsBending, crouching, hand/finger dexterity, kneeling, lifting/carrying (50-75 pounds), grasping, fine hand/eye coordination, pushing and pulling, stooping, twisting, prolonged standing and/or sittingElectrical and radiant energy hazards are presentAbility to respond to pages, telephones, and other auditory stimulationNear visual acuity and depth perception to examine exposed film for pertinent detailLead protective gloves and apron must be worn during certain procedures
