Spot & Tango is looking for an
Accounting Manager
to join our NYC HQ team! In this role you will report directly to the Associate Director of Accounting & Finance. You have a strong accounting background which you're looking to apply to a fast-growth business setting. You will improve financial transparency and enhance processes to improve decision-making and support rapid scaling of the business.
ResponsibilitiesContribute to accounting projects designed to mature processes & systems as well as improve scalability of the businessSupport annual audit procedures and external sales tax calculationWork directly with production facility personnel to record property plant & equipment additions and track depreciation within ERPPartner with functional leads to investigate financial statement variances vs budget as part of month end close processesRefine approach for calculating unit economics and marginCollaborate with HR and functional leads to process payroll and optimize processing proceduresValidate monthly expense reportsAssist in the processing of invoices and maintenance of accounts payable accountsRequirements
BA/BS in Accounting or Finance from university/college required; CPA required, audit experience highly preferred5-7 years professional accounting experience with a large public accounting firm and/or as practitioner within a businessStrong understanding of US GAAP concepts and financial reportingStrong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Microsoft ExcelPossess excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously inStrong time-management skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
