Accounting Manager
who will interpret and apply GAAP and regulatory decisions and provide accounting guidance to team members.

Rosemead, CA 91770 (HYBRID)Position:
Accounting ManagerPay Rate : $45.88+/hr. on W2 (depends on experience)Duration : 7 months or longerSchedule:
M-F, 8-5***This is Hybrid; only onsite 2 days a week - Monday & Tuesday***
OVERVIEW:Seeking a passionate leader who can lead the team, build morale, etc.Someone who can jump into the role and make positive team impacts.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Interpret and apply GAAP and regulatory decisions and provide accounting guidance to team membersPerform financial statement variance explanations related to fixed assets and billingsPerform and review monthly variance analysis including identifying key drivers, working closely with internal/external partners, highlighting trends, and analyzing causes of unexpected variances.Oversee data analysis involving work order true-ups and billings for proper disposition, including validating the integrity of charges and resolving issues.Work closely with upstream teams to ensure processes are being followed to minimize inaccurate workLead efforts for quarterly and annual compliance reporting and support data requests for various regulatory agenciesTYPICAL DAY:
Non-energy billing teamLarge capitol project billingConstruction & Accounting conceptsClaims billingPO reviewWorking with a team of 10 peers and leadsFinancial threshold responsibilities $100k +QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related fieldMust have experience with interpreting and applying Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Typically 7 or more years of experience in accounting or related fieldDemonstrate experience and proficiency with SAP.Must be proficient with Microsoft Office SuiteMust be proficient with Microsoft ExcelCapital accounting experience.Fix asset accounting experience.
Must have strong oral and written communication skills and ability to effectively communicate accounting issues and business processesLikes to build team morale, group leader experienceWorks well with deadlinesSelf-starterPeople skillsJump right in and roll up the sleeves type of mentality - don't wait for direction!Ability to work with large teams
