Candle Media is seeking a highly organized and technically proficient Accounting Manager to join our team. In this role, you will help organize and oversee our financial close and reporting for all of our reporting units and business initiatives. The ideal candidate is an energized, organized and solutions-oriented individual with an enthusiasm to join a fast-paced, high growth and execution-oriented organization. This position will report to Candle Media's VP of Finance and Accounting.
What You Will Do:
Manage the accounting function and transactions, preparing financial statements and other financial reportsReview the preparation of month-end journal entries and account reconciliationsPrepare consolidated monthly financials and management reporting packagesMaintain general ledger structure, continuously optimizing accounting processesAssess, research and document appropriate US GAAP treatment for various transactions within the businessProvide support for the annual financial statement auditIdentify and drive process improvement or other projectsRequirements
4+ years of financial accounting experienceCPA licenseAbility to multitask and prioritize work effectivelyStrong accounting knowledge and understanding of GAAPAdvanced excel skillsAbility to work under pressure, often in a deadline-driven environment, and ability to perform several tasks concurrentlyMust possess excellent critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and superior attention to detailAbility to work independentlyAbility to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writingPrior experience with Netsuite or other ERP systems is a plusBig 4 public accounting experience and experience in house at a startup is a plusBenefits
The base salary range for this role is between
