Position OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Accounting Manager to join our finance team. This role, reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, is pivotal in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial operations, leading cash flow management, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded in a timely mannerMonitor, compile, and analyze detailed cash flow reports, including historical data and future projections, to maintain optimal liquidity and advise on cash management strategiesOversee the preparation and filing of income taxes for multiple entities, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local tax regulations, and provide strategic advice on tax implications of business decisionsReview and analyze financial data to produce accurate reports essential for strategic planning and decision-makingEnsure adherence to proper accounting methods, policies, and principles, maintaining compliance with legal standards and company policiesMonitor systems and procedures, implementing corrective actions as necessary to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of the accounting departmentAssign projects, direct staff, and provide guidance to the accounting team to ensure compliance, accuracy, and continuous improvementMaintain relationships with financial institutions, oversee banking activities, and ensure compliance with banking requirementsQualifications:
Bachelors degree in accounting or a related field5-7 years of experience in accounting management, ideally within the real estate industryProven ability to manage and complete projects within established deadlinesHigh level of accuracy and attention to detail in deliverablesProficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office SuiteStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a teamExcellent written and verbal communication skillsPreferred Qualifications:
