Applications Engineer

who will be responsible for troubleshooting, calibrating, diagnosis, and servicing CNC machines and its component parts, and controllers. He or she will also perform tests on machinery prior to returning to production and will troubleshoot errors and make corrections.Applications Engineer Job Responsibilities:Read and interpret electrical schematics and work instructions to determine service required of machineryTest electrical/electronic systems in equipment, using testing devices, such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, or oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of systemInspect electronic control systems on equipment or components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repairProvide electrical/electronic support for equipment failure issuesPerform all annual electrical maintenance tasks that include, but are not limited to, machine axis calibrations, kinematic calibrations, geometry alignment and motor tuningTroubleshoot malfunctioning systems or components using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of the breakdown and correct the problemProperly analyze CNC diagnostic data to improve equipment functionality
