Job Brief Biomechanics Computational Modeler DCS Infoscitex Air and Space Technology sector is seeking a Biomechanics Computational Modeler to support the Biodynamics Group within AFRL at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, OH. The Biodynamics Group is responsible for assessing the human response and injury tolerance of pilots and aircrew to impacts, ejections, and high-G events. Essential Job Functions: Use of dynamic modeling programs such as LS-DYNA for the analysis of injury and determining injury thresholds. Analyzing and modeling movement/kinematic data. Engage in physical injury biomechanics research. Interaction with human subjects and instrumented crash test dummies. Engage in PMHS research. Use of statistical software (TEMA, JMP, SPSS, SAS, R, etc.) for data post-processing. Finite Element Modeling using LS-DYNA relating to occupant safety. Analysis utilizing high fidelity Finite Element human body models (GHBMC, THUMS or equivalent). Application of biomechanical sensors and data processing requirements. IRB preparation. Required Skills: Due to the sensitivity of customer requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required. At least a Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline with at least 5 years of experience. Graduate degree desirable. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information: Ability to obtain a secret level DoD clearance. Strong analytical skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
