We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Certified Welding Inspector to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The successful candidate will have a solid background in MIG, TIG and Flux-core welding techniques, a comprehensive understanding of welding symbols, and extensive experience working with aluminum. As a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI), you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all our welding operations meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections of welding work in progress and completed projects, ensuring compliance with national and international standards, codes, and safety regulations.
- Interpret and implement blueprints, welding symbols, and welding procedure specifications (WPS).
- Perform visual inspections of welds, analyze welding reports, and carry out non-destructive testing (NDT) where necessary.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the welding team, promoting best practices for MIG, TIG, and Flux-core welding.
- Collaborate with the quality assurance team to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve welding-related issues.
- Document inspection results by completing detailed reports, summarizing re-works, and waste, and inputting data into quality database.
- Train and mentor junior welders and inspectors, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
