Certified Welding Inspector

Hourly Rate: 40-55/hr We are looking for a Certified Welding Inspector to work for a leader in the engineering industry. This person will be responsible for supporting multiple projects across Northern California. Responsibilities will include inspecting structural welding to codes and specifications, as well as print reading and report writing. You will be responsible for documenting defects, as well as tracking and monitoring work to ensure compliance. Required Skills & Experience* Must have vehicle, will be traveling to multiple sites (federal mileage reimbursement rules) * Must be comfortable with travel (hotel reimbursement if necessary) * 5+ years experience as a Certified Welding Inspector * Experience with Nondestructive Testing Methods (NDT)Example: MT/UT/PT * Experience Inspecting structural welding to codes and specifications (EX: AWS D1.1, D1.8) * Experience reviewing WPS and PQR * AWS CWI Certification and NDT Level II in UT and/or MT Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
