We are seeking a highly experienced Legal Assistant to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of legal procedures, terminology, and a proven ability to produce high-quality legal documents and correspondences. With a minimum of 3 years of experience in the legal field, the candidate will have the ability to multitask, meet tight deadlines, and maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and meetings, and manage schedules and deadlines.
  2. Draft, proofread, and edit a variety of legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, contracts, and correspondence.
  3. Conduct legal research and factual investigation, and prepare reports and case summaries.
  4. Maintain organized case files and manage case document retrieval systems.
  5. Liaise with clients, witnesses, court officials, and other legal professionals.
  6. Understand and adhere to legal procedures and terminology, and ensure all documents and proceedings comply with applicable laws and regulations.
  7. Handle incoming and outgoing mail, answer phone calls, and manage client inquiries in a professional manner.

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Legal Assistant, Legal Secretary, or similar role within the legal industry.
  2. Proficient in legal writing, with the ability to draft and edit complex legal documents with precision and accuracy.
  3. Extensive knowledge of legal procedures, court rules, and litigation process.
  4. Familiarity with legal terminology and ability to communicate effectively with legal professionals and clients.
  5. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to providing exceptional client service.
  7. Proficiency in using legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  8. Paralegal certification or equivalent legal qualification is preferred.
