Job Details:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Geotechnical Engineer to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of engineering projects ranging from infrastructure design, construction, and maintenance, to geotechnical and mining-related tasks. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in civil engineering, with a particular focus on mining and geotechnical engineering.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in the planning, design, and implementation of infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, and utilities.
- Utilize AutoCAD to create detailed engineering designs and plans.
- Conduct geotechnical investigations and provide recommendations for construction projects.
- Participate in mining projects, including the design and planning of mining structures, as well as the assessment and management of mining risks.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project goals are met within the stipulated time and budget.
- Prepare and present detailed reports on project progress, challenges, and solutions.
- Ensure all engineering projects comply with safety regulations and environmental standards.
- Continually update knowledge and skills in line with industry advancements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on mining and geotechnical engineering.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar computer-aided design software.
- Solid knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices.
- Experience in geotechnical investigations and mining-related tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and provide effective solutions.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred.
