36 BedsTypical Nurse to Patient Ratios:
1:3Population Served:
Stepdown/PCU: Continuous Bipap, low-dose vasopressors, trauma patients, lumbar drains, CIWA patients on higher doses of Ativan, hyponatremia, emergency dialysis patients, Hyperkalemia, Antifreeze ingestions, Home vents (trachs), Sheath removal, CEA, Rhabdo, Precedex, Stroke patients with Q2 neuro checks, Stable craniotomies, Fentanyl drips.Ages of Patients Served:
Young Adult through Late Adult (18 - 60+)QUALIFICATIONS
Basic Life Support (BLS) CertificationAdvanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)National Institutes of Health (NIH)Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) CertificationCertified Principal Investigator (CPI) CertificationSound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.The ability to stand for extended periods.Strong technical skills.Knowledge of medical terminologyPassionate about patient careCompletion of a fully accredited RN programMinimum three years Cardiovascular Telemetry RN experienceOne year of Epic experienceRequirements:
COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster.SKILLS/ ABILITIES/ COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.Participates in relevant continuing education programs.Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
