Salary: $80,000 - $115,000 per year

In this role, the Lead QA BA will be responsible for creating test scripts, conducting testing, and ensuring the quality of software across various products and platforms. The primary objective is to guarantee that the software functions meet or exceed requirements, maintaining the highest level of quality as perceived by the company.

Job Details

Key Responsibilities:

  • Become proficient in the insurance administration system being implemented and act as a functional expert to advise the business on optimal system utilization.
  • Collaborate with business subject matter experts to define and document business requirements using the established process.
  • Define requirements for forms and map the data contained within them, in consultation with business subject matter experts.
  • Define integration requirements and map the necessary data for external vendor interactions.
  • Assist in the evaluation and prioritization of issues arising from production or testing.
  • Create and execute test cases for functional testing using standardized processes and tools.
  • Work closely with developers, product owners, vendors, and business SMEs to ensure effective solutions within the implemented system. Design test cases to verify that solutions meet expectations.
  • Support the business in conducting User Acceptance Testing.
  • Conduct peer reviews of work products produced by other business analysts.
  • Provide recommendations regarding acceptable risks within the application.
  • Monitor and report project status and metrics as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Prior experience in the insurance industry preferred (also open to related fields such as Underwriting, Claims, etc.)
  • Experience as a Business Analyst / Quality Assurance Analyst and leadership experience
  • Experience with Guidewire is strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in standard project tools such as Microsoft Office, Jira, and SharePoint.
  • Effective communication and issue escalation skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Demonstrated capacity to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple simultaneous releases and priorities.
