Salary: $200,000 - $450,000 per year

A bit about us:

This growth-oriented organization is seeking a Vice President of Sales over their residential speaker business. This part of the organization is growing 30%+ year-over-year and with someone focused on growing this business, it will hit explosive numbers! The ideal candidate must have sales and sales leadership experience focused in the residential space-designing, telling the story behind the design and build, understanding how to build products. The VP of Sales will spearhead the sales strategy and execution for the Luxury Residential business including independent representatives, audio-video dealers, consultants, architects, end users, developers, and other key influencers. This role will oversee and drive revenue growth for this organization's complete portfolio of residential audio/video solutions in the United States and Canada.

This role does travel 50% domestically and in Canada, so someone local to Southern California is ideal (as travel is more if not located in CA). If interested in relocating to CA, we can also assist with relocation.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy for the audio/speakers division, ensuring alignment with the overall company objectives.
  2. Lead, mentor, and develop the sales team, fostering an environment of high performance and continuous improvement.
  3. Collaborate with the marketing, product development, and customer service departments to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  4. Utilize deep understanding of loudspeaker and electronics market trends to identify new business opportunities and areas for growth.
  5. Oversee sales execution, ensuring that sales targets are consistently met or exceeded.
  6. Regularly report to the company's executive team on sales performance, market trends, and competitor activity.
  7. Establish and maintain relationships with key clients and industry influencers.
  8. Manage complex contract negotiations and close deals with strategic customers.
  9. Ensure the sales team is equipped with the necessary technical and product knowledge to sell effectively.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA would be a plus.
  2. A minimum of 5 years of sales leadership experience, preferably in the audio/speakers or electronics manufacturing industry.
  3. Proven track record of developing and implementing successful sales strategies.
  4. Strong knowledge of loudspeaker and electronics market trends.
  5. Exceptional leadership and team-building skills, with a proven ability to motivate and inspire a sales team.
  6. Excellent negotiation and deal-closing skills.
  7. Strong analytical and strategic planning skills.
  8. Proficient in using sales and CRM software.
  9. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  10. Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
