Henry Ford Hospital seeks a BE/BC transplant nephrologist interested in joining the transplant team at one of the nation’s most prestigious health care institutions in Detroit, Michigan as a Senior Staff Physician.

The successful candidate will join a dedicated team of 4 other transplant nephrologists and 8 transplant surgeons at the Henry Ford Transplant institute (HFTI). HFTI is one of the largest kidney-pancreas transplant programs in the state of Michigan, having performed 132 kidney transplants in 2023. The position is full-time with exclusive focus on transplant nephrology. This position will staff pre- and post- kidney pancreas transplant clinics, the inpatient service, assist with outreach efforts, waitlist management, and living kidney donation. Candidates will also be expected to participate in selection committee meetings, quality assurance and process improvement, and protocol development.

Candidates will become a member of the 1,900 person Henry Ford Medical Group, with colleagues in more than 40 medical and surgical specialties. Collaboratively and coordination among the Medical Group requires documentation within the organization’s EPIC electronic medical record. As feasible, participation in teaching and research is actively encouraged.

· BE/BC in Internal Medicine and Nephrology.

· Must have renal and pancreas transplant training, preferably from an AST-certified transplant nephrology fellowship.

· Experienced transplant nephrologists and current transplant nephrology fellows are both welcome to apply.

· Possess an active State of Michigan license, have an active DEA license
