Essential Job DutiesThe Program Associate is responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of agriculture-based educational programs targeted at youth. This role focuses on fostering an interest in agriculture, promoting sustainable practices, and providing hands-on learning experiences. The Program Associate will work closely with Extension Agents, community organizations, volunteers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality programming that meets the needs of the community.
1 - Program Development and Implementation
Design, develop, and implement agriculture-based educational programs for youth.Create curriculum and lesson plans that align with educational standards and promote agricultural literacy.Organize and lead workshops, field trips, and hands-on activities in various agricultural settings.2 - Community Engagement and Partnership Building:
Establish and maintain partnerships with local schools, community organizations, and agricultural entities.Act as a liaison between the organization and community partners to promote program awareness and participation.Collaborate with stakeholders to identify community needs and opportunities for program growth.
3 - Program Evaluation and Reporting
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of youth agriculture programs.Collect and analyze data to assess program outcomes and identify areas for improvement.Prepare and submit regular reports on program activities, achievements, and challenges.
4 - Resource Management
Develop and manage program budgets in collaboration with the Program Manager.Source and manage materials and resources needed for program activities.Identify and pursue funding opportunities, including grants and sponsorships, to support program sustainability.
