Description

Working with a high degree of latitude and using subject matter expert knowledge of electrical assembly this position will skillfully and efficiently handle complex issues that arise during assembly. The PTR Electrical Assembler will assemble, plan, route, install, terminate, and repair wiring, and other electrical components and equipment work assignments.Ability to read schematics, has strong skill set in soldering, terminating, and crimping. Certified in IPC WHMA-A-620 preferred.Perform assigned function from oral and/or written instructions, drawings, or other manufacturing. Follow established procedures/work instructions for assigned function and handle materials in accordance with established procedures.Maintain expected progress of jobs in area of assignment and communicate problem areas or parts shortages.Observe good housekeeping and safety procedures and keep equipment, tools, and work area clean and orderly by performing 5-S duties and continued dedication to raising the bar.Exhibit teamwork in all you do, maintaining a positive and team-based attitude. Support peers in time of high demand by working hours assigned and overtime as required; also comply with scheduled start/stop times and break periods for the facility.Provides leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to subordinate group.Required to wear personal protective equipment where applicable.

Qualifications

MUST BE A US PERSON ELIGIBLE TO WORK FOR ANY EMPLOYER IN THE UNITED STATES

Must have a High School diploma or GED.

Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical, assembly OR manufacturing setting. Is preferred but not necessary.

General knowledge of operating hand tools, portable power tools, and bench tools.

Strong attention to detail, quality-focused, and willing to learn.

Excellent communication skills.

Basic computer skills and the ability to operate computer terminals and general software applications.

Ability to read engineering drawings, schematics, and blueprints desired.

Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push, pull, and grasp.

Ability to stand/sit for sustained periods of time.

Able and willing to lift 50 pounds frequently from the floor to tabletops, throughout the work shift.

Willingness to work flexible hours such as overtime.
