Company OverviewBy Light Company is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to ensure that component parts, assemblies and major sub-systems meet internal and customer quality standards.ResponsibilitiesReading and understanding blueprints, schematics and working QC instructionsPerform receiving, in-process, and final inspection/test on parts, assemblies, and major sub-systemsMaintaining a high level of communication with all departments involved in the manufacturing processAbility to use physical dimension test measuring devices, calipers, and micrometersRecording inspection and test results in the inspection databaseWorking with Excel spreadsheets and use MS Word to create documents
Required Experience/QualificationsAS Degree in a relevant field OR two years of equivalent experienceExperience in technical inspection of manufacturing operations and manufacturing technologies, including the use of measurement & test equipment, such as voltmeters, calipers, and micrometersAbility to use physical dimension test measuring devicesAbility to work with Excel spreadsheets and use MS Word to create documentsFamiliarity with ISO or Government quality standardsAbility to read schematics, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings and specificationsA working knowledge of IPC-A- 610, IPC-A-620 and IPC J-STD-001 standardsDemonstrated strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Preferred Experience/QualificationsWork experience or Certificates of Training in Physical dimensional Calibration, Certification of Quality disciplines, TQM, and general knowledge of ISO 9001:2000Certified Quality Technician by ASQ; Certified Quality Inspector by ASQWorking knowledge of JIRA and CostPoint
Special Requirements/Security ClearanceCandidates must be U.S. Persons as defined in the ITAR, 22 CFR 120.15 (U.S. Citizenship or Resident Alien Status) and as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1101(a) (20).
