The Program manager will oversee and coordinate TraCS CTSA activities at A&T.

They will work with TraCS CTSA leadership to set strategic priorities and implement initiatives; oversee administrative and financial management of the TraCS subcontract, serve as a central point of contact for TraCS activities and between A&T and other TraCS partner institutions; and work with UNC to establish and implement evaluation and reporting strategies.

Primary Function of Organizational Unit:

CTSA UM1 is a funded seven year grant managed by the Division of Research and Economic Development. DORED manages all aspects of the research enterprise for the university led by the Vice Chancellor for Research & Economic Development. The Division is made up of the Vice Chancellor’s management team, the Office of Sponsored Programs, the Office of Research and Compliance, the Office of Contracts and Grants, and the Office of IP Development and Commercialization.

The Division’s responsibilities include identification of funding opportunities; proposal development and preparation; proposal submission; research compliance oversight; project setup, monitoring, invoicing, and closeout; intellectual property protection and commercialization; managing subcontracts, non-disclosure agreements, and material transfer agreements; and reporting to sponsoring agencies.

Requirements:

Relevant post-Baccalaureate degree; with advance knowledge of basic science or clinical research; will accept a relevant Bachelor’s degree and 3 or more years of relevant experience in substitution. May require terminal degree.

Preferred:

Minimum of 2 years research experience (basic science or clinical research) preferred. Master’s degree in clinical science. Experience in clinical research and/or translational research. Experience in managing grant funded multifaceted projects.

This position may be eligible for a remote or hybrid work arrangement, consistent with university and state policies. N.C. A&T employees are generally required to reside in North Carolina, within a 2-hour commuting distance of their assigned duty station.
