City Surgical Care, PC is currently looking for a skilled and reliable Vascular Surgeon to join our practice.The vascular surgeons responsibilities will include diagnosing and treating conditions of the vascular system such as performing diagnostic and therapeutic venograms, deep vein thrombosis, varicosities and repair of damaged blood vessels.Position Highlights:Mon-Fri scheduleApprox. 10 surgeries per weekC arm for venograms, 2 operating room suites, pre-op/pacu suite, ultrasound tech on siteComprehensive benefits packageAs a vascular surgeon, you must have an in-depth understanding of the vascular system, possess excellent diagnostic skills, be highly analytical, detail-oriented, and be able to make important decisions under pressure.
Responsibilities:Performing patient history and physicalsScheduling consultations prior to elective surgeriesLiaising with other physicians and performing the relevant tests before the surgeryPerforming surgeries to repair veins and arteries and other vascular anomaliesConsulting with physicians and referring patients to other specialists if requiredDetermining all risks associated with the surgery and communicating them to the patientAddressing all patient clinical concernsKeeping up to date on advancements in vascular surgeryScheduling follow-ups to monitor patients progress and to advise them accordinglySupervise Physician Assistants and other licensed medical personnelBuilding professional relationships with the organizations Governing Body, staff members and patientsQualifications:Possess a current NY State MD licenseCompleted an approved fellowship program in vascular surgeryBoard Certification is requiredPossess a current DEA licenseInsured by a recognized medical malpractice insured for the limits required by the practicePossess current American Heart Association ACLS and BLSPossess problem-solving and analytical skillsPossess a good command of the English language, both verbal and written.Has the ability to follow instructions, but also think independentlyMay be exposed to communicable diseasesKnowledge on the use of ultrasound, c-arm and VNUS systemsDedication to excellence in the field of Vascular SurgeryTwo Locations:NYC
