Already live with delegated authority from two A-rated carriers, BlueSky Property benefits from a dedicated operations team and an established network of retail brokers.Role Overview:We are seeking an experienced Senior Property Underwriter to help launch and grow our mono-line property program. This role offers the opportunity to underwrite a book of new and renewal business, manage opportunistic individual risks, build retail broker relationships, and influence technology and workflow improvements. You will also gain visibility into carrier and reinsurance relationships and the overall MGA build-out. Your expertise in property underwriting will be key to the programs success, particularly in meeting the increasing demand from retail brokers in the middle-market property space.Key Responsibilities:Underwriting: Quote, underwrite, and bind a portfolio of property-focused new and renewal business within the programs target sectors.Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with retail brokers, carrier partners, and reinsurers; negotiate individual spot fac reinsurance as needed.Program Development: Collaborate with the operations team to refine underwriting technology and workflows, ensuring continuous improvement.Qualifications:3-5 years of commercial property insurance underwriting experience, ideally in the E&S space.Proven track record in property underwriting; experience with individual risk facultative reinsurance is a plus.Strong relationship-building skills with retail brokers and carrier partners.P&C producer license required (can be obtained after hire).Bachelors degree required.Why Join BlueSky Property?This is a unique opportunity for a property underwriter to join a new and rapidly growing mono-line property program within the E&S MGA space.
