Job Description:
Experienced professional with proficient knowledge of job area and practical knowledge of project management. May manage projects or processes with general supervision. Communicates with contacts inside and outside of own department to explain and interpret operational processes, practices, and procedures. Recommends enhancements to systems and processes. Works to achieve operational targets for specific programs and projects with moderate impact on departmental results.
Essential Functions:
The Program Manager Specialist will lead diverse systems integration and modification efforts across varied spectrums of defense, commercial, and special mission systems aircraft.
The candidate will act as the primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with the customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.
Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocating resources or changing contractual specifications.
The candidate will support expanding the current product line with the customer.
The candidate will support the capture of new business to include responding to sources sought/requests for information (RFI), requirements/Statement of Work (SOW) generation, and proposal development.
Works to achieve operational targets for specific programs and projects with moderate impact on departmental results.
Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
Program or Production Management/ Finance with EVMS, or Project Engineering experience.
Strong understanding of Government contract types such as Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF), Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Time and Material (T&M).
Knowledgeable of subsystems and components used for aircraft modifications, as well as experience in developing Statements of Work (SOW).
Minimum 6 months of Risk Management experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Secret security clearance
EVMS experience on DoD programs is desired
Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools
Knowledge in SAP or Solumina
Aviation background/knowledge a plus
Ability to travel domestically and internationally
Alternate shift work, weekends, and overtime as required
