The Department of Medicine's Division of Nephrology at the University of Virginia, School of Medicine, is seeking applicants for a tenure-ineligible Clinical Faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor at our Lynchburg and Farmville, Virginia area locations. Rank and compensation will be dependent upon qualifications. You will have the opportunity to join a group of twenty-eight (28) nephrologists and be associated with a well-respected, academic health system.

UPG boasts 1,200 providers, who serve patients at the main UVA Medical Center in Charlottesville and in the (24) primary and specialty care locations throughout Charlottesville, Central and Northern Virginia. The UVA Health System has five long-established dialysis units in Lynchburg, Amherst, Appomattox, and Alta-Vista, Virginia, including a vibrant home dialysis program.
Candidates must have an MD or equivalent, be board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine and Nephrology by appointment start date and have a commitment to clinical excellence and teaching. Candidates must also possess excellent oral and written communication skills and experience working across disciplines.
