We currently have an excellent opportunity for an experienced full-time LPN for Adult/Pediatric Specialties to deliver high-quality individualized patient-centered care. In collaboration with the medical team comprised of physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and medical residents, the LPN provides care consistent with the scope and standards of the specialty.

What will you do in this role?Provide direct, evidence-based patient care as directed by the physician or RNAssist with a variety of procedures, exams, monitoring, or other functions as directedPerform lab and procedure tests within the LPN scope of practice, after demonstrating competencyDocument the administration of care in the patients medical record (EMR) in a timely and thorough manner.Serve as a resource to the department staff, medical residents, and volunteers to help deliver quality patient care.Participates in department performance improvement activitiesAdaptable to change, able to problem solve issues and seeks assistance when needed.Ability to demonstrate initiative, teamwork, and flexibility

Requirements:

Minimum 2-3 years of LPN experience in an ambulatory health clinic (adult and pediatric)Medication and vaccine administration to adult/pediatric patientsCurrent NYS LPN Licensure (Graduate of accredited LPN nursing program)Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certificationExperience with EMR documentationExcellent interpersonal & English communication skillsExcellent teamwork and collaboration skillsClinical skills: phlebotomy, EKG, POCT, etc. on adult/pediatric patientsSpecimen collectionScreen (walk-in/telephone and scheduled appointments) patients and make appropriate referrals for services requiredAdminister treatments (i.e. dressing changes, nebulizer treatments, and other procedures)Competency with EMR documentationExcellent interpersonal skillsGood verbal and written communication skillsPatient care responsibilities are delivered with a knowledge of patient growth and development and are appropriate to the ages of the patients servedDocumentation of all patient care, treatments, and patient educationTimely completion of patient requests, follow-up, form completion, and pre-visit planning.
