Weekly Pay Range - $2070 To $2300 Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Job Specialty: Respiratory Therapy Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour varied days and nights, one month at a time (schedule made 4 weeks in advance), every other weekend, holiday requirements apply Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Yes, requires submission Certifications: - BLS (Basic Life Support) - ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) - PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) - Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) via NBRC Must-Have: - Newborn intubation skills - Experience intubating during deliveries within the last 90 days Job Description: - Engage in respiratory therapy unit activities - Complete required modules (3-4 hours, not billable) prior to assignment start - Work two of the three major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's) - Conduct aerosol therapy and secretion mobilization - Perform lung expansion and management of endotracheal tube & tracheostomy - Handle noninvasive ventilation and oxygen modalities - Assist with intubation as needed - Deliver mechanical ventilation treatments - Work with adult patients across in-patient departments, emergency room, floors, and ICU - Follow dress code (black scrubs) - Operate specific RT equipment including Hamilton G5, C1 ventilators, and Philips V60 & Nihon Khoden NKV-330 for NIV - Complete department-specific orientation comprised of three 12-hour shifts for floors and ER - Use Cerner charting system Note: Cancellation policy allows the hospital to cancel up to three times during the contract. Intensivist available onsite 24/7. Profiles will go directly to the unit for consideration.
