Overview: The National Sales Director will be responsible for creating group & transient revenue opportunities for the InnVentures portfolio by developing & generating new key account/business opportunities. As part of the responsibilities for working remotely, you will be expected to make regular established property visits (as needed) to attend all pertinent site visits, pre/post cons, client events, event planning meetings, etc. pertaining to your assigned key segments/territory. You will also be required to attend specified industry events, tradeshows, or customer-facing meetings. This Sales Leader may be responsible for attending and presenting out to ownership, key stakeholders, and InnVentures leadership as determined by the Vice Presidents of Sales.
Responsibilities:
Fully develop Key Market Segments (Group, Corporate Negotiated, Long-Term Stay, and Airline) through the identification/solicitation of key accounts that can yield incremental group or transient revenue opportunities.
Strive to achieve monthly/quarterly revenue targets or goals; develop and implement sales action plans & sales activity/travel calendar designed to best penetrate key accounts (both existing & target).
Maintain a complete database of key accounts/contacts in each specialty segment assigned.
Identify and qualify potential prospect key accounts through participation in industry tradeshows, concentrated sales blitzes/calls, and other sales initiatives.
Perform in a manner that always demonstrates professionalism.
Maintain key account relations, brand Global Sales network relations, trade relations, industry relations, and property staff relations.
Negotiate favorable contract terms and conditions and measure the effectiveness of secured business.
Promote all InnVentures Properties and proactively present revenue opportunities that effectively cross-sell the InnVentures properties.
Actively participate in all above property sales strategy meetings and business reviews – as determined by the Vice Presidents of Sales.
Submit weekly reports of sales activity to Vice Presidents of Sales.
Quarterly Sales Action/SMART Plans & new business development goals/targets. Develop and implement sales plans encompassing market analysis, account opportunities, short- & long-term goals, strategic initiatives, and measurable outcomes.
Track and grow production of new accounts.
Participate in sales development training with InnVentures Hotels.
Other duties, projects, or assignments as determined by the Vice Presidents of Sales.
Qualifications:
Location: Ability to work remotely; however, frequent travel to visit key accounts may be required.
5 or more years of related experience in sales work at a full or select service hotel(s) with the major brands preferred.
Must have demonstrated experience in sales solicitation, contract closing, site inspections/visits with clients, exhibiting at Trade Shows and contract negotiations.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.
Proficient in the use of Sales CRM programs (STS, STS Cloud, Delphi).
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
Have working knowledge of all hotel operating departments.
Established relationships with brand Global Sales representatives, Travel Managers, Lodging Intermediaries, etc. preferred.
