Our team provides the full spectrum of general contracting, construction management, infrastructure, disaster response, health, and humanitarian services throughout North America and beyond. We serve all levels and sectors of government and private industry in a wide range of markets.The Proposal Director is responsible for leading the development of division-level proposals for local, state, and federal pursuits. As the Proposal Director, you'll make an impact by providing strategic leadership to complete high-quality, winning submissions, primarily in the Disaster Response and Health markets. You will lead a team of direct reports to execute multiple concurrent proposals while ensuring compliance with all bids. The ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of our Galveston, Texas, headquarters.Responsibilities:Direct all aspects of complex proposal development, including meetings, strategy, outlines, win themes, development schedules, storyboards, writing plans, and compliance matrices, with ultimate accountability for the process and final deliverables.Review and analyze solicitation and related documents ensuring final proposal products are compelling, compliant, and delivered on schedule.Develop lean processes and infrastructure to support submission of bids.Provide day-to-day guidance to the proposal team from inception to completion, including opportunity searches, content development, requirements, and formatting.Analyze and interpret technical requirements of local, state, and federal solicitations and contribute feedback for Bid/No-Bid decisions.Oversee calendar and coordination of proposal schedule and activities (kick-off meetings, color team reviews, SME coordination, writing/reviews, quality reviews, etc.).Facilitate team meetings to discuss status, schedule, and action items.Collaborate with operational and technical leads, project managers, and SMEs to develop and articulate technical, operational, staffing, and costing solutions.Draft technical and non-technical portions of the proposal in collaboration with other team members, ensuring quality and completeness.Ensure win strategies and themes, technical solutions, discriminators, and a clear understanding of the requirements are well-articulated and consistent.Maintain comprehensive knowledge of past successful proposal activity and utilize available repositories to identify content relevant to current proposal efforts.Cultivate tight, proactive communication with the proposal and business unit teams to ensure all necessary resources and activities are available.Collaborate with the marketing team to utilize templates and standards for look and feel.Oversee client interview preparation and development of oral presentation collateral.Perform closeout activities, including lessons learned and facilitate debriefing process.Ensure all bid/proposal details are accurately entered into SharePoint and content databases and opportunity is managed to completion.Continuously refine and improve proposal strategies by establishing and tracking key performance indicators to measure success.Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as required.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in business administration, communications, or a related field and at least 10 years of proposal management experience.Minimum of 10 years experience in government contracting, working with multiple local, county, state, and federal agencies.Proven win rate with large, complex bid responses.Experience managing the entire proposal life cycle, from pre-RFP to post-submission.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Experience managing Microsoft SharePoint sites.Ability to inspire outstanding work from team members in the development of proposals.Strong facilitation, leadership, collaboration, and communication skills.Proficient in managing, organizing, and prioritizing multiple project deadlines.Preferred Qualifications:MBA, preferred.APMP or PMP certification desired.Physical Demands:Use of manual dexterity, tactile, visual, and audio acuity.Use of repetitive motion, prolonged periods of sitting and standing, and sustained visual and mental applications and demands.Occasional lifting (up to 15 pounds), bending, pulling, and carrying.Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job.Benefits:Safe Harbor 401(k) PlanHealth insuranceDental insuranceVision insuranceCompany-paid disability and life insuranceVoluntary life insurancePaid sick timePaid time offAffirmative Action/EEO StatementSLSCO LTD is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer.
