Agilent is seeking an energetic, creative, strategic, and experienced communications professional to fill the role of Business and Executive Communications Program Manager. Reporting to the vice president of global communications and public affairs, the person selected for this role will be responsible for supporting communications strategies and tactics highlighting the work of the Diagnostics and Genomics Group (DGG), a strategically important business unit for Agilent. In addition, the Business and Executive Communications program manager will help advance the company's corporate narrative and serve as a strategic communications partner to the executive leading DGG.Your work with the DGG team will serve to engage, inform, and energize the organization in what is considered to be an essential role in the organization. In addition, the individual selected for this position will also be called on occasionally to provide executive communications support for other Agilent executives and collaborate closely with other members of the Global Communications organization on companywide communications strategies and tactics.Responsibilities:Help define the communications strategies and initiatives that support DGG plans and programs.Serve as the lead communicator for major DGG news and activities.Work closely with the president of the DGG business unit to determine the content and approach that will help tell the DGG story and share important business information in a compelling, engaging manner.Serve as a strategic adviser to key executives on messaging, tone, and speaker delivery, focusing on messaging relevant for the business unit and the companywide employee audience as well.Understand the strategic objectives for the organization and develop materials that are conveyed in the "voice" of its leadership.Serve as the business unit's acknowledged communications expert providing guidance and counsel for senior leadership.Opportunistically seek potential thought leadership opportunities for the organization to help further the Agilent story with external audiences.Develop and drive ongoing communications programs to engage DGG employees.Coordinate activities and share communications plans with the Global Communications team to ensure consistent messaging and story development while looking for opportunities to leverage other programs within the group.Development of PowerPoint presentations, video scripts, social media postings and other written materials to support the business unit. This may also include Q&A documents, website content, executive talking points, fact sheets, and other materials.Prepare company spokespeople for media interviews and other engagements, including training spokespeople, as needed.Successfully measure the progress, results, and impact of communications efforts.Location:

Must be commutable to Santa Clara, CA site.Qualifications:7+ years of PR/communications/executive communications experience.Exceptional written and verbal communications skills.Strong presence as a trusted communications advisor to top executives.Ability to achieve positive results in a dynamic environment, often on short deadlines.Experience managing business issues and navigating/synthesizing various viewpoints.Ability to understand Agilent business objectives and convey the unique value of the Agilent corporate story and culture to a broad set of audiences.Strong Microsoft PowerPoint skills and the ability to develop outstanding executive presentations.Must be able to simultaneously focus on the big picture strategies, tactical details, and driving results.A strong team player with a record of success working cross-functionally and influencing teams.Skilled at translating complex topics into compelling, digestible stories.Experience executing coordinated, impactful communications strategies and programs.The US pay range for this full-time position is $160,291.00 - $250,455.00/yr, plus eligibility for bonus, stock, and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum new hire pay for the position across the relevant US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
