IJW Whiskey Company, LLC (IJW) is a dynamic, fully integrated spirits company. Founded in 2017, we’ve compiled the largest independent library of aged Kentucky bourbon and rye and established a global presence including offices in Beverly Hills, Louisville and Tokyo, Japan, a 40-acre campus in Danville and a bottling facility in Harrodsburg. Our ambitious growth trajectory includes the recent groundbreaking of a new whiskey distillery in Shelbyville, KY, slated for completion in early 2025, and plans for a Japanese distillery in Chitose set to commence in 2024.
With over 100 years of combined industry expertise, our diverse team of seasoned professionals and dynamic newcomers has propelled IJW to the forefront of the spirits industry. Our strategic partnership with one of the nation's largest independent Wine & Spirits distributors has enabled us to offer 22 products across four unique private label bourbon brands in 28 states. We have added to our spirits portfolio with our first Tequila brand launch in Q3 of 2024.
Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and strategic National Brand Director, to lead our national marketing efforts. As the National Brand Director, you will oversee all aspects of IJW’s marketing strategy, brand development, and consumer engagement. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be responsible for driving brand awareness, creating innovative marketing campaigns, and spearheading the commercialization of new products. This role will require close collaboration with our sales, product development, and leadership teams to ensure consistent and effective messaging across all platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Brand Strategy & Development: Lead the creation and execution of IJW’s overall brand strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and brand vision across whiskey, tequila, and other emerging product categories.
Marketing Campaigns: Design and implement innovative and engaging marketing campaigns that drive product visibility, consumer acquisition, and brand loyalty across digital, social, and traditional channels.
Product Launches: Oversee the successful launch of new products, ensuring cohesive messaging and positioning within the market.
Digital & Social Media Marketing: Develop and manage digital marketing strategies, leveraging social media, influencer partnerships, and e-commerce to engage new and existing consumers.
Consumer Insights & Analytics: Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive insights to refine strategies and drive data-informed decisions that enhance brand performance.
Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity, innovation, and accountability.
Collaborative Partnerships: Work closely with the sales and distribution teams to ensure marketing efforts align with commercial objectives, supporting product commercialization in key markets.
Budget Management: Oversee the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize return on investment and impact.
Qualifications:
10+ years of marketing experience, with a strong preference for experience in the spirits, beverage, or luxury goods industries.
Proven track record of leading successful brand strategies and product launches in both domestic and international markets.
Expertise in digital marketing, social media, and influencer partnerships.
Strong analytical skills, with experience in consumer insights, market research, and data-driven marketing strategies.
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage relationships with external partners.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate vision and strategy to both internal teams and external stakeholders.
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
