Job Overview:
We are actively seeking a skilled General Liability Associate Attorney to join a full-service law firm in New Orleans. The ideal candidate will bring strong research and writing skills, with 2 to 7 years of experience in insurance defense litigation. This position involves comprehensive case management and various litigation tasks, including handling depositions, arbitrations, and trials. Admission to the Louisiana Bar is required.Duties:
Manage all phases of insurance defense litigation, including case management, motion practice, and discovery.Represent clients in hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and trials.Conduct thorough legal research and draft various legal documents.Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategies and litigation approaches.Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations impacting general liability cases.Assist in developing and mentoring junior attorneys.Requirements:
2 to 7 years of experience in insurance defense litigation.Strong research, writing, and communication skills.Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize effectively.Proven track record in litigation and trial preparation.Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative work ethic.Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:
Admission to the Louisiana Bar (required).Skills:
Proficient in legal research tools and litigation software.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
