About the Position:

This role is an on-campus, in-person position.

The Director of Creative Video is responsible for maintaining the established brand of SMU Athletics, as well as managing and leading student interns.

Essential Functions:

Responsible for creating video content for internal and external use and in-game presentation.

Work closely with assigned SMU athletic teams, creating content for social media platforms.

Research and assess new video methods and technology, making recommendations for new equipment, modifications, or process enhancements as appropriate.

QualificationsEducation and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree is required.

A minimum of three years of work experience, with at least one year in a creative role with a focus on video production in college athletics is required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Candidate must demonstrate strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate broadly across the University and develop and maintain effective relationships with a wide range of constituencies.

Candidate must have the ability to effectively communicate video concepts with clear reasoning behind proposed solutions and respond positively to feedback and revisions.

Candidate must possess strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and analyze problems, as well as devise solutions.

Candidate must also have strong organizational, planning and time management skills.

Demonstrated ability to take initiative and be thorough and dependable are essential.

Physical and Environmental Demands:

Sit for long periods of time.
