- QUALITY ASSURANCE TECHNICIAN

Provides administrative and clerical support to the QA Department.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- QUALITY ASSURANCE TECHNICIAN

Performs daily thermometer and scale calibration verification. Record keeping and logging.Performs pre-operational inspections on complex machinery.Performs ATP swabbing and maintains the program.Performs allergen swabbing and maintains the program.Assists in Environmental swabbing.Performs any other task assigned to the QA dept lab techs.Maintain and organize results from fat and moisture testing, proof spreadsheet, and email to the required group.Maintains Foreign Materials log and spreadsheet.Review and log APTEAN quality records daily for failed tests or other trends.Reviewing Records with external auditors within areas of responsibility.Carrying out other support functions and activities as required.Maintains Foreign Materials log and spreadsheetCarrying out other support functions and activities as required.SUCCESS CRITERIA

- QUALITY ASSURANCE TECHNICIAN

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably food industryExperience in Quality AssuranceAbility to read and interpret Laboratory instructions and procedure manuals.Knowledge of GMP's, USDA, and OSHA regulations and BRC requirements.Must be trained in chemical usage and hazard communication.Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings and/or weekendsMust be able to work in 36–40-degree temperature facility.Strong sense of urgencySkill in using a personal computer and various software applications.Skill in being a self-starter.Ability to work in a team environment.This position is onsite.PHYSICAL/ENVIROMENTAL FACTORS:
