The Riverside County District Attorney's Office is seeking to fill a

District Attorney Secretary

position in Banning.As a District Attorney Secretary, the incumbent will perform a variety of legal secretarial, clerical, and administrative duties to support multiple leadership positions within the District Attorney's Office. The incumbent will be responsible for calendar management, coordinating schedules and meetings; tracking and maintaining various spreadsheets and data; preparing monthly statistical reports; creating presentations including various types of visual data; creating and designing flyers for advertisements and notices; processing reimbursement and payment requests; and performing other related duties as required.Competitive applicants will possess:Previous work experience in a secretarial or stenographic capacity.Complex scheduling experience, managing calendars for multiple leadership personnel.Experience aggregating statistical reports, using intermediate level Excel functions.Experience creating PowerPoint presentations that effectively display various types of visual data, including charts, tables, and graphics.Experience creating flyers and digital content using design software, such as Canva and PowerPoint.Experience processing reimbursement and payment requests.Who May ApplyThis recruitment is open to all applicants. Current employees of the County of Riverside and/or the Riverside County District Attorney's Office may be considered before other applicants, depending on the volume of applications received.Minimum Qualifications:OPTION IOne year as either a Secretary I or Legal Support Assistant II with the Riverside County.OPTION IIThree years of increasingly responsible, broad and varied clerical experience, one year of which must have been in a secretarial or stenographic capacity performing a wide range of complex legal clerical or stenographic duties. (Completion of 18 semester or 27 quarter units from a recognized college or 360 hours of training from a recognized occupational training program in secretarial sciences, office practices, business education, criminal justice, or a closely related field may be substituted for one year of the non-specialized clerical experience).OPTION IIIFour years of increasingly responsible, broad and varied clerical experience. (Completion of 18 semester or 27 quarter units from a recognized college or 360 hours of training from a recognized occupational training program in secretarial sciences, office practices, business education, criminal justice, or a closely related field may be substituted for one year of the non-specialized clerical experience).Other RequirementsLicense:

Possession of a valid California Driver's License is required.Typing Skill:

Sufficient skill in typing to enable the applicant to complete 50 net words per minute is strongly desired.Knowledge of:

Typing layouts and formats; the operation and uses of common and automated office equipment including automatic or memory typewriter, personal computer, word processor, copier; filing systems (chronologic, numeric, alphabetic, subject area, tickler); business English including spelling, punctuation, grammar, capitalization and word usage; record keeping and clerical monitor/procedures; basic office procedures; arithmetic.Ability to:
