Job Description
Perform cytogenetic analysis to assess the chromosomal state of samples (chromosome, FISH, and/or microarray analysis).
Perform assigned tissue culture.
Initiate and maintain cell cultures using sterile technique; perform all aspects of specimen processing; operate automated cell scanner; analyze metaphases using brightfield microscopy, record raw data, prepare final reports, and record current ISCN.
Perform chromosome analysis, fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH), and microarray analysis.
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Boston, Massachusetts.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, Chemical, Physical, or biological science from an accredited institution, college or university OR other qualifications as described in the Federal Register, 42 CFR, Subpart M 493.1403 - 1495
2+ years of relevant experience working in a Cytogenetics laboratory
CG(ASCP) certification required
