Certification Details ACLS, BLS, Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) via NBRC, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), PALS, Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) via NBRC. Job Details A hospital near Sacramento is looking for experienced RRT for a travel contract. The right candidate will have 2 years of experience and hold an active BLS and CA Respiratory License. Schedule Information Shifts & Scheduling: Scheduling by needs, Each shift consists of 7-15 RT's per shift. Contract worker would never be only RT present. Weekend Requirement: yes, EOW. Holiday Requirement: yes. 12hr Varied Days/Nights, one month at a time (schedule made 4 weeks out), EOW, First to Float. Unit Specific Information UNIT NEEDs A NICU TRAINED RRT THAT HOLDS EXPERIENCE INTUBATING DURING DELIVERIES WITHIN THE LAST 90 DAYS. Department: RT. Treatments per day: 30 treatments per 12 hour shift. Types of patients: Adult Patients. In-patient, Emergency Room, Floors, ICU. Experience or 'Must have' skill: Basic Respiratory Assessment & treatment skills. Job Duties: Aerosol therapy, Secretion mobilization, Lung expansion, Endotracheal tube & tracheostomy management, Noninvasive Ventilation, Oxygen Modalities, Mechanical ventilation, No ABG's. RTs Required to assist with Intubation only (No intubation directly). Always a RT Shift Lead present each shift. RT Leader on Call Present M-F and available 24/7. No call, No standby. No floating. Scrub Color/Dress: Black. RT Equipment: Vents: Hamilton G5, C1 and NIV: Philips V60 & Nihon Khoden NKV-330. Intensivist onsite 24 hours a day/365 days a year. Orientation: Respiratory Therapy Dept onboarding consists of three 12 hour shifts for (floors & ER). Additional Details Modules are required to be done before start of assignment. Modules take on average 3-4 hours to complete-this time is not billable to the hospital. For Holiday RTO: Travelers will work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years). Unit managers will make the final call on scheduling. Holiday time off will be considered, however not guaranteed. Profiles will go directly to the unit for consideration.
