The Senior Operations Manager oversees the day-to-day activities of directing, controlling and coordinating all phases of more than one department for a large-scale Distribution Center with complex cross dock operations for departments such as: Warehouse, Transportation, 3rd party distributors, off-site storage facilities, Inventory, etc. This position may oversee Merchandising in some locations.Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:Partner with various departments to ensure timely and accurate loading of all distribution equipment in an efficient and cost-effective mannerCollaborate with various departments to build weekly/monthly volume and demand planning forecast to coordinate volume forecast with logistics and/or supply chain planning team(s)Manage execution of day-to-day Distribution Center operations within parameters of both labor and operating expense budgetsAssist in the selection, supervision, and development of the Distribution Center teamOversee the Merchandising team in some locations as appropriateEstablish the analysis of daily/weekly key performance indicators (KPI's)Maintain collaborative relationships with all departments in order to achieve goals and provide customer satisfactionAdhere to Company standards, policies, and all regulatory requirementsManage and implement company initiatives to achieve performance, quality and safety metricsLead the improvement of processes and drive enhanced levels of efficiencyEnsure the safeguard and security of company assetsEnsure teamwork and alignment to guarantee a culture of synergy, engagement and transparencyOther projects or duties as assignedRequired Skills and Experience:Bachelor's degree in a related field and 8 plus years of consumer products and/or direct store delivery experience with 4 plus years of people leadership experience or HS Diploma/GED with 11 plus years of consumer products and/or direct store delivery experience with 5 plus years of people leadership experienceAbility to manage multiple projects of varying priorities at the same timeStrong sense of urgencyResult-driven mindsetExcellent follow up and follow through skillsSelf-motivated, organized and disciplinedExcellent teamwork skillsStrong written and verbal communication skill as well as interpersonal skillsProblem solver and solutions oriented with the ability to propose new solutions and/or resolve operational issuesExperience working in a fast-paced environmentExperience managing a P&LFamiliarity with DOT regulationsKnowledge of collective bargaining agreementsExcellent Microsoft Office Suite skills i.e., Word, Excel, Power PointExperience with SAP, Dematic/ProTrack, Engineered Labor Standards (ELS) and/or GreenMile applicationsFlexibility to work any shift as neededTravel up to 20%This position must pass a post-offer background and drug testPreferred Skills and Experience:Master's degree5 plus years of experience leading in a union environmentMultiple facility management experiencePhysical Demands and Work Environment:
