The General Merchandise and Food Sales team leads inbound, outbound, replenishment, inventory accuracy, presentation, pricing and promotional signing processes for all General Merchandise (GM) areas of the store.As a General Merchandise Expert, no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will most likely include the following responsibilities:Create a welcoming experience by authentically greeting all guestsObserve to quickly understand whether a guest needs assistance or wants to interactEngage with guests in a genuine wayBe knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available to improve guest experienceThank the guest in a genuine wayEnsure sales floor is zoned, in stock and accurately signed and pricedAcknowledge guests while completing workloadEnsure regular and promotional signing is set accuratelyExecute inbound, replenishment, backroom and signing processes for GM areasUnderstand how operational procedures impact shortage, profitability, in store replenishment and inventory accuracyOperate power equipment only if certifiedFollow processes accurately with attention to detailDemonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and complianceWork in a safe manner at all timesSupport guest services such as back-up cashierAll other duties based on business needsWHAT WE ARE LOOKING FORWe might be a great match if:Working in a fun and energetic environment excites youProviding service to our guests that makes them say I LOVE TARGET! excites youStocking, Setting and Selling Target products sounds like your thingYou aren’t looking for a Monday thru Friday job at a computer all dayThe good news is that we have some amazing training that will help teach you everything you need to know to be a General Merchandise Expert.
