Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: operate forklift to move material between warehouse and production floor.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operate forklift in all warehouse & production floor. Perform preshift forklift safety inspections. Observe forklift operations so that malfunctions can be detected, and notify supervisor of any malfunctions. Pack orders & wrap, band or bundle for shipping; lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items, manually or using forklift. Count finished products to determine if product orders are complete; mark or tag identification on parts. Load and unload items from machines, tables, shelves, racks & turntables. Help machine operators & production workers by loading & unloading material onto machines tables & turntables. Separate products according to weight, grade, size, and composition of materials used to produce them. Place products in equipment or on work surfaces for further processing, inspecting, or wrapping. Remove products, machine attachments, and waste material from machines. Pack and store materials and products. Tie products in bundles for further processing or shipment, following prescribed procedures. Transfer finished products, raw materials, tools, or equipment between storage and work areas of plants and warehouses, by hand or using hand trucks or powered lift trucks. Prepare raw materials for processing. Count raw materials & products to ensure inventory. Load & unload trucks Pack products and product parts during processing. Clean work areas, machines, equipment, vehicles, and products. Repack, relabel, stack, & prepare products for stocking or shipping. Attendance at work during the regularly scheduled shift is an essential duty. This includes, but is not limited to the ability to be present at work, arrive on time and be at the work station ready for work at the start of the shift. Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPENTENCIES:

Education:

High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)

Experience:

No prior experience necessary

Computer Skills : Proficient in basic computer skills as well as possess the ability to be trained in company specific software.

Certificates/Licenses : Forklift Certification required

Other Requirements : Fluent in English.
