Job Title: Research Support Assistant (Hourly)Grade: 11Salary: $21.69 - $25.91The Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene, Inc. is seeking three motivated and detail-oriented Research Support Assistants to join the Center of Excellence for Cultural Competence (CECC) at the New York State Psychiatric Institute. This hourly position will provide support for evaluating suicide prevention programs in New York State that aim to provide culturally responsive community-based interventions for ethnoracially diverse and/or LGBTQIA+ youth and young adults. The CECC is seeking 3 Research Assistants to provide research and administrative support to the Center working under the direction of experienced faculty and staff. Duties and Responsibilities:•Conduct academic database searches, document reviews, and background / literature reviews.•Assist with developing and implementing evaluation designs and protocols for evaluating suicide prevention programs, including developing evaluation plans, interview guides, and surveys.•Assist with participant recruitment and retention and work with diverse populations and community organizations to engage potential participants.•Collect qualitative (e.g., semi-structured interviews, focus groups) and quantitative data (e.g., surveys), perform data entry, maintain accurate databases (e.g., REDCap), and ensure adherence to protocols.•Conduct analysis of qualitative (e.g., coding transcript, developing matrices) and quantitative (e.g., survey analysis) data, including transcript cleaning and using Atlas.ti and other software to facilitate analysis.•Draft reports, summaries, presentations, and other materials to communicate progress and findings to stakeholders and funders.•Attend trainings and project meetings to stay updated on policies, methodologies, and evaluation tools.•Assist with other related duties as neededMinimum Qualifications:•Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, Social Work, Public Health, or another related field •Or a high school diploma and/or GED with at least 6 months of experience in suicide prevention evaluation Preferred Qualifications:•Knowledge of cultural responsiveness, equity, and/or other social determinants of health in the field of suicide prevention•Experience with qualitative data collection and qualitative data analysis •Experience with developing evaluation protocols, interview guides, and surveys•Experience in suicide prevention evaluation or researchWork Location: 1051 Riverside Drive, New York, NY 10032To Apply: Submit an application through our website at https://nyspi.applicantpro.com/jobs/.
