Legacy Residential Group is one of the industry's leaders and innovators in property management with nearly 6,000 multi-family units and a continued expansion of our ownership portfolio. We are currently seeking an experienced Assistant Property Manager for a rental community located in Miami, FL 33176. The candidate would work closely with the Property Manager, often assuming responsibility for the operations of the property in the absence of the Manager. On a daily basis, the Assistant Property Manager would perform tasks associated with all phases of operations and financial performance of the property including occupancy, collections, resident services and actions to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and company policies, staff supervision, and maintenance including general appearance and upkeep. The candidate must have excellent communication skills, demonstrate a professional appearance and demeanor and be computer literate. Must have at least 2 years of experience in the management industry.The job scope includes but is not limited to the following duties:Candidate should have a strong knowledge of Yardi, be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word and display excellent writing skills. (Bilingual a plus)Processing invoices in Yardi PayScan on a daily basisAbility to multi-task in fast-paced workplace and effectively prioritize job dutiesMonitor the accuracy and/or administer all lease documentsAct in representation of the company owners when handling resident complaints/requests, maintenance issues, renewals, and all other matters relating to residents and resolve them quicklyCreate and maintain excellent ongoing relationships with potential and current residentsMaintain professional demeanor during high stress situationsHelp plan, schedule and organize resident functions as needed to promote resident retention and increase resident satisfactionMust be able to physically access all exterior and interior parts of the community and amenityareas. Periodic exposure to outside elements where temperature, weather and/or landscapemay be unpleasant and/or hazardousMust be able to work required schedule which includes weekends and occasional evening hoursLearn financial performance including the operating budget; and how to submit regular reports on property status such as variance and occupancy reports in the absence of the ManagerAssist Manager in maintaining budgeted occupancy levels at approved rental ratesCollect specified rents, delinquent rents, file evictions and approve write-offs as necessaryAssist with eviction of residents in compliance with court orders and directions from owner'sattorneysAssist with construction and vendor relationsSupervise hiring process of subordinatesPersonal Qualifications:Superior written and verbal communications skills for following up with email and phone inquiriesHigh-energy, able to work well with othersPossess leadership skillsOrganized and detail-orientedCustomer-service focused, positive attitude, strong work ethic, reliable and self-motivatedEmployment Type:It is a full time hourly rate with benefits including health and dental insurance, 401 K, vacation, personal and sick time.
