Medical Biller/Collector , you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate processing of billing and collection functions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with medical billing experience who is looking to work with a stable and well-established healthcare provider.
Medical Biller/Collector Responsibilities:
Review and process medical claims for accuracy and compliance with industry regulationsFollow up on unpaid claims and work with insurance companies to resolve payment issuesManage patient accounts and address any billing inquiries or discrepanciesCollaborate with healthcare providers and other departments to ensure correct documentation and billing codesPerform collection activities, including sending statements and negotiating payment arrangementsMaintain confidentiality and comply with all healthcare regulations (HIPAA, etc.)
Medical Biller/Collector Requirements:
1+ years of experience in medical billing and collections, preferably in a healthcare settingFamiliarity with billing software and electronic medical records (EMR) systemsStrong knowledge of insurance claims processing and medical terminologyExcellent communication skills and attention to detailAbility to work onsite in Palatine, IL
