Responsibilities:
As a Consulting Staff Accountant, your duties will include but are not limited to:
- Performing bank reconciliations and ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
- Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Assisting with budget preparation and financial planning processes.
- Ensuring compliance with all internal processes and financial regulations.
- Providing advice on financial risks and opportunities to clients.
- Collaborating with the finance team to streamline accounting procedures and systems.
- Assisting with tax preparations and returns.
- Participating in financial audits and implementing audit recommendations.
- Providing financial analysis and forecasts to assist in decision making.
- Participating in strategic data analysis, research, and modeling for senior company leadership.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need the following qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is a plus.
- A minimum of five years of experience in a similar role, with a strong focus on bank reconciliations.
- Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
- Proficiency in relevant accounting software, such as QuickBooks, MS Excel, and other business intelligence tools.
- Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a knack for thinking creatively to overcome challenges.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- An ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
