Job Details:

We are seeking a passionate and highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team. This position will offer you the opportunity to demonstrate your extensive knowledge in ASC 842, Accounting, Month End, GAAP, and account reconciliations. This is a permanent role that will provide you with the platform to utilize your accounting expertise and contribute to the financial success of our organization. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledgers, preparing and analyzing budgets, and performing general bookkeeping.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports.
  • Ensure compliance with ASC 842 leasing standards.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts.
  • Assist in the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, reporting any variances.
  • Participate in the month-end close process, including the preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Maintain and improve processes and controls associated with manufacturing costs and inventory valuation.
  • Lead and coordinate internal and external audit processes.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP principles.
  • Liaise with Tax Accountants to ensure accurate and timely tax compliance.
  • Address financial issues and inquiries by developing innovative solutions.
  • Provide support to junior accounting staff as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, with a focus on ASC 842, Accounting, Month End, GAAP, and reconciliation.
  • Proven experience as a senior accountant in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and ASC 842.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and accounting software.
  • Excellent mathematical skills and an understanding of data privacy standards.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and set priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • CPA certification will be considered a plus.
