Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic procurement plans in line with the company's objectives.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure the best quality, cost, and delivery terms.
- Evaluate and manage supplier performance, ensuring they meet contractual obligations and maintain a high level of service.
- Utilize ERP and MRP systems to forecast demand, manage inventory, and plan purchases.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, quality, and production to understand their procurement needs.
- Conduct market research to identify potential new suppliers and stay abreast of industry trends.
- Manage risks related to supply chain disruptions and propose contingency plans.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
- Continually evaluate opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role within the engineering industry.
- Proven experience with ERP and MRP systems.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence and persuade.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Knowledge of supply chain management principles and best practices.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate and resolve issues.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and standards.
- Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) or similar certification is a plus.
