Location: Wake Forest, NC location- Fully on-site role

About:

  • Experience working for a lead organization where you are the 1st HR person hired!
  • Excellent experience doing payroll, benefits administration, performance reviews etc.
  • HANDLE RESPONSIBILITIES of an Executive Assistant, in addition to all other HR Generalist responsibilities! This role will be responsible for coordinating meetings & schedules. The HR Generalist will be responsible for a wide variety of duties. Since this is a fast-growing Private Equity investment firm, everyone at the company is juggling different key responsibilities, no matter how big or small.

Position Overview:

The HR Generalist will provide comprehensive HR support across all areas of the business. Working closely with the Managing Partners and senior leadership, this individual will be responsible for recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, and performance management. The HR Generalist will be critical in implementing HR processes that align with the company's strategic goals while ensuring an exceptional employee experience in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1.Recruitment & Talent Acquisition:

•Manage the full recruitment cycle, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and hiring.

•Collaborate with department heads to define staffing needs, draft job descriptions, and develop effective sourcing strategies.

•Build and maintain relationships with recruitment agencies, job boards, and other external sourcing partners.

2.Onboarding & Employee Integration:

•Oversee the onboarding process, including orientation, paperwork, and training schedules, to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.

•Serve as a resource for new employees during their onboarding period, ensuring clarity on policies and procedures.

3.Employee Relations & Engagement:

•Act as the primary contact for employees regarding HR-related concerns and issues, providing support and resolving conflicts as needed.

•Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture by creating employee engagement initiatives and facilitating team-building activities.

•Conduct stay interviews and exit interviews to gather employee feedback and recommend improvements.

4.Benefits Administration & Payroll:

•Administer and manage employee benefits, including health insurance, 401(k), and other perks.

•Provide support for payroll processing and ensure all employee compensation is accurate and compliant with applicable laws.

5.Performance Management:

•Support managers in implementing performance management practices, including goal setting, regular reviews, and development planning.

•Advise managers on employee performance feedback and development opportunities to enhance team productivity.

6.Compliance & HR Policy:

•Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws.

•Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, including HR reporting, headcount tracking, and turnover metrics.

•Develop and update HR policies and employee handbooks as needed to reflect best practices and legal requirements.

7.HR Strategy & Growth Initiatives:

•Partner with leadership to create and execute HR strategies that align with the company’s growth trajectory.

•Implement HR systems and processes that streamline day-to-day operations and support scalability.

•Provide leadership during organizational changes, helping the team adapt during periods of growth and transition.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience as an HR Generalist, preferably within a fast-growing, small to mid-sized company.
  • Strong understanding of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Proven experience in recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, and performance management.
  • PHR (Professional in Human Resources) certification preferred.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with HR systems (e.g., ADP, BambooHR) and Microsoft Office Suite.
