Job Details

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Civil Litigation Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have experience handling a broad range of civil litigation matters, including contract disputes, tort claims, real estate litigation, and other civil cases. You will be responsible for managing cases from inception to resolution, including drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, engaging in settlement negotiations, and representing clients in court.

Key Responsibilities:

Represent clients in civil litigation matters across various practice areas

Manage all aspects of case development, including investigation, pleadings, discovery, motions, trial preparation, and trial.

Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including briefs, motions, and settlement agreements.

Participate in mediation, arbitration, and settlement negotiations.

Provide sound legal counsel to clients, keeping them informed about case progress and legal options.

Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff on case strategy and legal approaches.

Maintain clear and organized case files in compliance with firm policies and ethical standards.

Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Active state bar membership in good standing.

3+ years of experience in civil litigation.

Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.

Experience managing cases from inception through trial or settlement.

Ability to work independently and handle multiple cases with minimal supervision.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with clients and colleagues.

Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in state and federal court litigation.

Knowledge of alternative dispute resolution methods, including mediation and arbitration.

Familiarity with case management software and legal research tools.
