Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee all financial operations and direct corporate financial planning and structure.
  2. Coordinate, analyze, and report the financial performance to Management and Board of Directors (financial performance, projections, and other special projects as required).
  3. Prepare short and long-term financial forecasts of financial performance for use with internal management and external parties.
  4. Oversee audit and tax functions, coordinate activities with outside audit firms and review firms' performance.
  5. Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive job cost system.
  6. Direct and analyze studies of general economic, business, and financial conditions and their impact on the organization's policies and operations.
  7. Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning, introduction of new programs/ strategies, and regulatory action.
  8. Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization; i.e., evaluation of potential alliances acquisitions and/or mergers.
  9. Optimize the handling of bank and deposit relationships and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash positions.
  10. Develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism that includes minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs.
  11. Enhance and/or develop, implement, and enforce policies and procedures of the organization by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the corporation.
  12. Establish credibility throughout the organization and with the Board as an effective developer of solutions to business challenges.

Qualifications:

  1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial leadership role, partnering with executive staff, resulting in the development and implementation of creative financial management strategies.
  2. Significant experience in or knowledge of nonprofit accounting, including sophisticated fund and grant accounting, compliance, and reporting.
  3. Deep knowledge and understanding of the Financial Services Industry.
  4. A hands-on manager with integrity and a desire to work in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.
  5. A demonstrated ability to lead, a mature and proactive individual who can quickly establish rapport, credibility, and respect, and achieve consensus and results through others.
  6. An undergraduate degree in finance and an MBA. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required!
  7. Strong analytical skills and experience interpreting a strategic vision into an operational model.
  8. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
  9. Experience in strategic planning and execution.
  10. Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management.
  11. Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems.
