**$500 Sign on Bonus!One (1) full time (40 hours/week) opportunity as a Clinician Trainee or Clinician I/II in our Adult & Community Services program. Adult & Community Services (ACS) provides primarily court-ordered counseling services. Clinicians work with clients whose primary referral source is either CPS, Probation, or Family Court and frequently collaborate with those referral sources. The services provided include individual, family, assessment, supervised visitation, collateral, group and case management in office and limited community settings. Clinicians facilitate groups focused on Parenting, Domestic Violence, Anger Management and Child Abuse and Neglect. Clinician trainee work is reviewed and co-signed by LPHA.
Schedule: Monday - Thursday 9:00am to 7:30pm or Monday through Thursday 9:00 am to 6:00 pm;Friday 8:30 am to 4:00 pm
Qualifications:Clinician - Graduation from an accredited graduate program with major in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Behavior Analysis, or other related degree required. These degrees must be license eligible (LCSW, LMFT, LPCC).Clinician Trainee-Master of Arts or Master of Science degree in progress from an accredited graduate program with major in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Behavior Analysis, or other related degree required. One year of experience in a treatment setting preferred.Bilingual in Spanishrequired.BBS registration, licenses, credentials or like certifications must remain active and valid with their governing entity, if applicableSound personal qualifications (i.e. maturity, stability, high moral standards, and sound mental health).For staff with driving duties, a valid California drivers license with less than two minor moving violations is required.Essential Job Functions:Knowledge of current issues/trends in the field of Counseling Psychology, Social work. A thorough understanding of emotional/behavioral disorders and the familial and communityimplications'.Ability to work harmoniously with others.Ability to communicate ideas in oral and written form. An ability to instruct in group and individual settings.Physical, mental and emotional health adequate to perform duties. A genuine caring for emotionally/behaviorally disturbed children.Must possess knowledge of mental health programs and community resources.Possess knowledge and adhere to all applicable legal and ethical issues.Ability to work effectively with cultural/ethnic diversity.Effectively use de-escalation skills and techniques for crisis preventionResponsibilities:Provide direct clinical services to clientele.Provide admission assessment and treatment planning for adults, children and families.Provide group, individual, family, and collateral clinical services for clientele.Provide school consultation when appropriate.Keep comprehensive clinical records which meet standards for Stanislaus County Department of Mental Health.Maintain frequent and consistent contact with representatives of the referring agency or other community agencies working with client to coordinate treatment.Collect outcome data and consumer satisfaction data as required by the agency and contractor. Must implement program goals and objectives to meet and maintain contractual requirements and productivity.BBS registration, licenses, credentials or like certifications must remain active and valid with their governing entity. Report any suspected child abuse immediately to direct supervisor or utilize the chain of command if supervisor is not available.Report any suspected dependent adult/elder abuse immediately to direct supervisor or utilize the chain of command if supervisor is not available. Report any imminent danger to self or danger to others to direct supervisor or if not available, utilize the chain of command. Adhere to court ordered timelines.Meet monthly productivity expectations of 80 hours per month.Utilize Stages of Change for treatment planning/ tracking progress of client.Participate in Child and Family Team (TDM) meetings.Provide court testimony through written and/ or oral presentation. Provide Crisis Intervention.Interaction is appropriate and sensitive to clients culture.Interaction is appropriate with client's developmental level.
