Lattice Crane Operator

General Purpose:

Responsible for operating crane (hydro, crawler, and lattice cranes) to hoist, move and place materials and drive piling

Work Schedule:

Days and hours vary depending on the assigned project.

Responsibilities & DutiesPromote and comply with all Company and safety policies and proceduresOperate levers and pedals to raise, lower and rotate the boom and raise and lower load linesRaise, lower and rotate boom or load by sight or according to signals from a helperObserve rigging operations and safety of the loadEnsure safety procedures are adhered to at all timesPerform daily inspections of cranesMonitor weather conditions and site conditionsClean, maintain and lubricate equipmentObtain any required permitsCrane operator should be responsible at all times when operating a craneCrane operator should be versatile and have a cooperative attitude as they may be asked to do other jobs on construction sites when they are not operating a craneMaintain a professional appearanceOther duties as assigned by Foreman or SuperintendentRequired Education

High school diploma or equivalent GED. Applicable certifications requiredRequired Experience

Minimum of 6 months experience, one year certificate from a technical school or an equivalent combination of education and experienceRequired Skills/Licenses/Certifications

Valid driver's license to operate motor vehicles.Certified crane operator certificationRead and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manualsAdd and subtract two digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10's and 100's, ability to perform these operations using unit weight measurements and volumes.Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral formWorkers should be able to work within precise standards of accuracy and follow set procedures and standardsSupervisory Responsibility
